Verdict
SPECIAL PEARL is put forwards ahead of the in-form Weybridge Light and Dayia. Eoghan O'Neill's runner made a satisfactory start to her career for a new trainer when beaten under two lengths into third over ten furlongs at this track just a week ago. She has plenty of stamina in her pedigree so should see out this trip well enough and she looks capable of winning races from her present mark. Weybridge Light is 19lbs higher than when winning at Tramore in October but looks capable of better yet as his latest defeat may have been due, in part, to the decision not to adopt the tactics that had worked well on his previous outing. Dayia won a Listed bumper at Sandown and looks capable of winning races on the level as well. She's on a fair mark and is an honest sort who's unlikely to be far away but Special Pearl is selected to come home in front.
