An awful contest where SAMSON QUEST should prove good enough to follow up his recent win, while Prince Rossi and Riviera Red are both of interest in first-time blinkers. Samson Quest stayed on well to win over course and distance earlier in the week in similar company, and while they are not often very consistent at this level he does come from a yard in great form and may just be capable of repeating the dose. Prince Rossi drops right back to a mile here after some dismal form over further last spring. The application of cheek pieces has previously been positive, so blinkers now make him interesting again in this poor company. The same can be said of Riviera Red, who should benefit from the drop back to this trip and acts well on this surface. Market moves for either would be positive. The Power Of Phil represents a good yard who are going well and he has enough positive form to suggest he can get heavily involved, while Dynamo Dave has a bit to find with the selection on their running here last week, but this looks his grade and he can make his presence felt. Samson Quest can outmuscle them.
