Cosmic Symbol, who has been running better than form figures suggest, has won from higher marks and his rider's claim puts him on a tempting mark. Musical Jewel got off the mark at the 15th time of asking on ground with some give at Sligo and is just 2lb higher so looks a threat to all with Andy Slattery's claim a major plus. Michael Halford has his horses going well and Kodianne looks the type to improve and can't go any lower in the ratings while The Bittern Cry did better when dropped back to this trip at Roscommon though hasn't proved she acts on the ground. Solomons Seal showed his first real sign of form at Naas though that was on good going so the vote in a very open handicap goes to ALTHIB, still a maiden after 17starts but best over this trip as he showed when runner-up to Little Camacho, who was receiving 6lb, at Down Royal last month.
