Toscanelli landed a Limerick maiden in June and has run reasonably well in decent company subsequently though he's on a high enough mark. After beating two rivals in a canter, The Ice Meister was sent off odds-on at Killarney but found a mile against him. He should be more effective back over this trip and should get into the frame though SAUANNA BELLE looks the one to beat. Johnny Murtagh's filly had performed with credit in strong maidens and was a most unlucky loser in a nursery at the Curragh last time where she failed to obtain a clear run at a crucial stage. Compensation awaits though Swordfight could prove a threat on his handicap debut as he caught the eye over 6f at the Curragh. Lady Mandeville didn't appreciate the soft ground at Sligo and wouldn't want any more rain.
