Funatfantasia won this a year ago and is now 1lb lower due to mainly moderate form including over hurdles. Reggae Rock had some useful form as a juvenile and ended his first campaign with an easy victory at Galway in October though all of his runs to date have been on ground with plenty of give. ROCK MELODY looked very promising when runner-up to Blue Dahlia over 6f at the opening meeting of the season at the Curragh but couldn't handle the step-up to 1m2f at Leopardstown on his next start. He did much better over 7f at the Curragh on his latest start in May and this could be his optimum trip. Separate Ways returned to form when first past the post in a tough handicap at Galway but was disqualified after drifting towards the rail. The handicapper has compounded the misery of connections by raising him 6lbs and he faces another stiff task. After a short-head victory over Camira at Leopardstown, Castle Bar Sling ran poorly at Galway and will need to bounce back but Desert Romance probably found the softish ground against him at Naas last month after scoring there on fast going a month earlier.
