TREASURE BEACH looks an obvious choice though more for his potential than what he achieved on his debut at Leopardstown in May where he was outpaced by the well-backed Longhunter. That race hasn't worked out as well as expected with the winner finishing last when stepped up to Group 2 company on his next start but Aidan O'Brien's colt was by no means given a hard time and he will have come on for the experience. Dermot Weld's Cannon Hill was beaten a long way in that event but made a little progress on his subsequent start at Naas and with Pat Smullen on board he should prove better than the stable's newcomer Lisselan Hostess. The Reaper finished a short-head back in third that day but had the benefit of two previous runs and is unlikely to turn the tables on Treasure Beach. Jim Bolger's filly File And Paint should be ideally suited to the trip on her debut and is one to note for the future.
