Verdict

HAYMOUNT missed a very much easier opportunity at Clonmel's abandoned meeting on Thursday and faces stiffer opposition here. He was undoubtedly disappointing at Naas last time but his previous form can just give him the edge over Alamein and Double Island. They were due to meet at Clonmel where the latter was set to receive weight but they meet on level terms this time. The former ran a cracking race behind Au Quart De Tour here in January and was expected to go one better at Navan but didn't quite come up to scratch. Double Island made a promising hurdles debut after landing a point-to-point then couldn't stay with the classy Min over a longer trip at Punchestown and should find this less testing so he looks the main threat. Hard To Call landed a point at Horse And Jockey a year ago and is one to note on his debut under Rules.
