It probably wouldn't be a huge surprise to see a better showing from Hunting Country today after a poor showing last week, but FIFTEEN LOVE has the solid handicap form in the book and gets the nod ahead of Steele Tango, Khateeb and Hawaass. A low draw is a worry however as the selection is normally held up and there is no reason why tactics would change today. His win in the Britannia is hard to crab, whilst his subsequent fifth to Lovelace looks solid. It may be that the handicapper is getting close to nabbing him, however there may be even more improvement for this step up in trip. Military Power should not be underestimated from the foot of the weights given his progressive profile and solid win at York, whilst Indian Days still looks to be on a fair mark here racing off 91 after a good third at Newmarket earlier in the month. Hawaass represents a stable in good form and he was impressive when winning on his reappearance. That may not have been a top race but he had some fair yardsticks well beaten in behind and he is open to all sorts of improvement despite a 9lb rise in the weights. Steele Tango is consistent, and his second to Jedediah means that he holds Age Of Reason, Dr Faustus, Ramona Chase, Indian Days and Dona Alba on that running. Love Galore is well drawn but he isn't a typical front runner and thus could find trouble from an inside perch, Khateeb is unexposed and looked unlucky in-running last time whilst Upton Grey has a 6lb rise in the weights to contend with on his last start. A tough race to call, but Fifteen Love can land the spoils.
