HI CALYPSO is (relatively speaking) slow as a boat so a strong pace over this longer trip will suit the filly and she gets the vote ahead of Folk Opera and Samira Gold. Sir Michael Stoute's filly had a tremendous three-year-old campaign, completing a four-timer when winning the Group Two Park Hill stakes at Doncaster. She handles any ground and should have come on leaps and bounds for her run last month. Folk Opera meanwhile is promising. She ran well behind Dar Re Mi last time and must be considered a major threat, however like many of these she is yet to race over this trip so has a bit to prove. Gull Wing is consistent but has several pounds to find, whilst the three-year-olds all warrant respect, especially the improving Gravitation if the ground softens. Arthur's Girl has plenty to find with Folk Opera on their Plantation Stud Stakes running, so a bigger danger could be Samira Gold. Luca Cumani's filly didn't seem to get a mile-and-a-half last year, and was a no-show on her reappearance this season. However she is a filly of some potential and could do better today.
