The low draw is favoured over the minimum trip here and the speed should come from Inxile in the three pitch, which could set things up for near neighbours Total Gallery and our pick KINGSGATE NATIVE. The latter pair are perhaps ideally suited by six furlongs, but both continue to show good speed over five. The selection has not won since taking the Golden Jubilee at Royal Ascot last year and it was in that same contest that he had his sole start so far this time. Strictly on the book he has a bit to find with Borderlescott, who is drawn at the other side of the track and would be very interesting if it rained, but he is all class and if at anything like his best after another break then he will take a great deal of beating in this class. Total Gallery has not enjoyed the run of things over this trip on his last couple of tries, but there is no reason why Stan Moore's colt should not be quick enough to get involved at the business end, although he wouldn't appear to have the class of our pick. Inxile has to be feared coming from connections who do so well in this sphere and at the track. The minimum trip is his optimum and they wouldn't want to allow him to dominate. Moorhouse Lad won over this trip in a Newbury Group 3 in September but was swamped when racing alone in the Palace House at Newmarket in May. This ground is ideal for him, though, and a better effort is anticipated. Ialysos is also well suited by conditions and despite being in form he has a tough task at the weights here from an unfavourable draw. Spin Cycle does tend to struggle a bit when tried this high in grade, but Sugar Free is interesting with allowances at the foot of the racecard over her best trip. Mythical Border should appreciate the drop in class and would welcome any rain, but we'll take the chance that Kingsgate Native has been readied once again by a man who knows all about winning here.
