held up in rear, steady headway over 4f out, not much room on inside well over 1f out, squeezed through and strong challenge inside final furlong, held close home
tracked leader, ridden to lead 2f out, edged right u.p. inside final furlong, held on well
held up and behind, lost place 5f out, ridden and headway over 3f out, driven and one pace final furlong
An interesting three-year-old handicap with a number of improving types. Fashionable Man is likely to make the running so a proper test should ensue. Snow Leopard is interesting stepped up in trip. Scent Of Victory has solid maiden form but went off too quickly at Newbury last time. Indian Solitaire is improving as the season goes on and is weighted to have a chance of reversing form with Duke Of Earl (who won quite cosily) on their course run over a furlong shorter on May 21. Dune finished ahead of Fashionable Man at Newbury although the latter has a four-pound pull today. Last Master is lightly-raced, was an expensive purchase, won his maiden well but is hard to fully assess on the back of that. Orthodox also ran in Dune's Newbury race. That contest could hold the key to things as Muhareb also has form that ties in (through Esteemed Master). It looks a pretty tight affair.
