A competitive seller to get the evening card underway. Native Field is only a pound higher after a decent run in a similar event at Fontwell. Polish Paddy beat Native Field over an extended three miles at Taunton in April and is now 6lbs worse off for seven lengths. However, he is only four and has more scope for improvement than most of his opponents. The well-bred Northern Fleet is the only course winner in the race but that was five years ago and he is reverting to hurdling after some chase efforts. Good Thyne Johnny has been raised seven pounds for his Uttoxeter win - only his second outing in Britain since arriving from Ireland. He should play a part in the race. Ferdy Murphy and Josh Gifford drop Brother Ernest and Shipley Mill to selling company for the first time but neither has shown much form.
