      Verdict

      Shamlaan defied a 10lb rise for scoring at Lingfield in November with a victory at Wolverhampton and has been given a break. He's up another 6lb and INCOME, who has been in fine form on the all-weather, gets the nod in receipt of 13lb. Sir Henry Cotton's all-weather double came over 6f and he was unlucky in-running over that trip at Wolverhampton while Lovely Mana couldn't handle soft ground at Nottingham after scoring at Newcastle. Josies Kid's victory at York came on soft going.
