Easy Newbury nursery winner FELIX NATALIS has been hit with an 8lb rise but comes here with a 6lb penalty and has as good a chance as any in a wide-open affair. At the other end of the handicap, Bolt Action was impressive on his debut at Leicester and wasn't beaten far in the Windsor Castle at Ascot. Knebworth lost his unbeaten record in the latter event where he didn't appear to enjoy the fast ground but California Gem looked in very good form when scoring comfortably at Beverley and should get into contention. Windsor winner Paddy's Day found the Coventry Stakes much too tough but Gaallib stormed home on fast ground at Nottingham and should have conditions to suit. The latter remark also applies to Blatant, whose two recent victories have been on similar going.
