Monks Stand doesn't have the scope of some of these but his last two runs have come in Group 2 company and Frankie rides. Mark Johnston is invariably mob-handed in the nursery races at this meeting and this one is no exception. Recent winners Mailshot and Rusumaat look to have plenty of weight but the maiden Dusker could be interesting from near the foot of the handicap. Richard Hannon has won two of the last six but it's hard to fancy Buskin River on what he's shown so far. Naafer and Final Reckoning have been progressing nicely, however, and Zamjar won easily at Epsom after a couple of near-misses. AVENTINUS pulled much too hard over 7f on soft ground at Ayr when favourite but should be suited by a fast-run 6f here on quicker going and he doesn't look badly treated on his handicap debut.
