Verdict

Sir Dancealot bids for the hat-trick in this Group 2 but probably has more on his plate this year. Duke Of Hazzard is 3-3 here and returned to form with a third in the Summer Mile at Ascot but the drop back in trip is a worry against 7f specialists. Space Blues beat subsequent Haydock scorer D'bai at Longchamp last month but had had a run when earlier just edging out SAFE VOYAGE (NAP) at Haydock. The rains may have arrived just in time for John Quinn’s charge and he did well to score at Epsom last time as he was hanging down the camber. Glorious Journey won at this level at Newbury last year but he carries a penalty and hasn’t raced since January. Pierre Lapin’s run in the Commonwealth Cup was too bad to be true but he has a lot to prove stepping up a furlong and none of the others are likely to be good enough.
