Verdict
Virtually everything here has to prove it stays this trip in this ground, and one who looks as likely as any is Asawer, who gets the vote ahead of Tartouche, Natalie Jane and Without A Trace. The selection has been keeping good company, and was not disgraced in defeat over 12 furlongs last time. The form of her last two outings is solid enough coming into this, and she decent enough soft ground form to her name, so we will take a chance on her. Tartouche is another who has acted with some cut, and the Lady Herries-trained filly has been tried largely over just 11 furlongs so far. However, she has plenty of stamina on her dam's side and indeed, this may be the trip she has been crying out for. Natalie Jane has winning form on bottomless ground, and put up her best effort when running on for third over a mile-and-a-half at Haydock last time. The longer trip however, is not certain to suit. Of the remainder, conditions look like suiting Without A Trace, though she takes a significant step up in class, and we are happy to side with Asawer to get her nose in front.
