Night Spot can land the card's finale, having most to fear, possibly, from Tranquil Dancer and Eight Ellington. Although last of five on his debut, the selection was staying on at the end when hampered in the closing stages. Normal improvement should see him competitive in what looks a run-of-the-mill event. Psychiatrist is related to a couple of winners, Spring Dancer, who is speedily bred, won well at Pontefract on her debut and holds claims, while Scholarship has failed to progress from a good Newbury third on his debut. Ever Cheerful started his racing life promisingly but has a little to prove following a disappointing all-weather run, although he now races at six furlongs for the first time. Eight Ellington also showed promise on his Chepstow debut and is entitled to improve for it. Although not suggested with great confidence, Night Spot can be another winner for Roger Charlton.
