Verdict
Cosmelli completed a five-timer in Italy including in Listed company though all on very testing ground. Oriental Fox is a cracking handicapper at this level who stays extreme distances and finished runner-up in this back in 2013. Top Tug isn't a prolific winner though ran a fine race over a trip too short at Newmarket earlier this month but the progressive Batts Rock may not have the experience for a tough race like this on his first start over the trip. Blakeney Point ran poorly at Chester last time and though Manjaam has some strong form at this level he's yet to prove he stays this far. ANGEL GABRIAL hasn't won since the 2014 Northumberland Plate but has run some fine races in defeat and has now dropped to his lowest mark since May of last year so a chance is taken on a belated return to the winner's enclosure.
