Polar Ben, Turnkey and Andronikos are the three to consider here, with preference for Polar Ben. This small field may mean a tactical affair, and Andronikos should not be discounted. He won three times last season, and ran in better company than this. He may be better than his rivals but a chance is taken that he may need his seasonal debut having run disappointingly on his final start last season. Mick Channon's dual winner Turnkey has also seen his limitations exposed in top company, but his wins both came with cut in the ground and he too should be respected. Polar Ben loves give in the ground and has that here. He will be sharper for his fourth to Etlaala in a hot race on his re-appearance, with the third that day, Quito, running well to be second at York in a Group race next time. This looks easier, and Polar Ben is taken to freeze out his rivals.
