The established handicappers look in the grip of the assessor whereas STYLEHUNTER (NAP), one of two three-year-olds tackling their elders, looks to harbour potential for notable progression. This is only his seventh career start and he followed up a runaway success in an ordinary Lingfield maiden when sent straight to Royal Ascot for the massively competitive Britannia Handicap where he was only beaten just over two lengths in a field of 30. This additional furlong will suit and he should go very close. Grand Inquisitor is probably best watched after a break and the solid Easy Tiger appeals as the likeliest danger, with Another Eclipse and Monaadhil next best.
Easy Tiger 4-1 (9-11) Led, strongly challenged over 1f out, headed well inside final furlong, no extra, 3rd of 9, 1 1/4l behind Firmdecisions (9-3) at Leicester 7f hcp (4) gf in Aug.
Stylehunter 25-1 (8-10) Raced centre, chased leaders over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, kept on inside final furlong, not reach leaders, 6th of 30, 2 1/2l behind Ostilio (8-9) at Ascot 1m hcp stks (2) gf in Jun.
Elusive Heights (IRE) 16-1 (9-3) Tracked leaders, effort over 2f out, soon challenged, ridden over 1f out, no extra in 3rd final 100 yards, 3rd of 17, 3 3/4l behind Mikmak (9-1) at Thirsk 1m hcp (3) gs in Aug.
Lawn Ranger 16-1 (9-3) Chased leaders, ridden 3f out, one pace from over 1f out, 4th of 6, 3 1/4l behind Simpson (9-3) at Windsor 1m hcp (3) gd in Aug.
Kreb's Cycle (IRE) 14-1 (9-6) Tracked leaders, ridden over 1f out, kept on, 3rd of 6, 3 1/4l behind Icart Point (9-4) at Sandown 1m hcp (4) gf in Jul.
Grand Inquisitor 20-1 (8-10) Slowly into stride, raced keenly in last pair, some late minor headway, never a factor, 6th of 11, 6 3/4l behind Restorer (8-13) at Chester 1m 2f hcp (2) gd in May.

Monaadhil (IRE) 5-2 (9-12) Tracked leaders, outpaced by leading trio 5f out, ridden and headway over 1f out, stayed on to chase winner inside final furlong, 2nd of 7, 2l behind Three Saints Bay (9-10) at Beverley 1m hcp (4) gs in Jul.
