A wide open competitive handicap in which we will give the tentative vote to Signor Peltro with both Little White Lie and Giganticus worth noting. The selection was an eye catching second behind Keep Discovering at Sandown recently and is only one pound higher in the weights as a result. He looks to be fairly treated and if reproducing that form he would have to go close once again. Little White Lie carries top weight but has been improving all season. He won back to back races at Epsom and Newmarket and was not discredited at the same venue last time out off his current mark so he has to be respected. Giganticus is another that seems to be coming to himself on the evidence of his form. He had dropped a few pounds in the ratings before running a blinder at Ascot in behind Laa Rayb last time out so any market moves should be noted. But for the winner we return to Signor Peltro.
Little White Lie (IRE) 4-1 (9-13) Always prominent, led over 1f out, soon headed, edged left and no extra final furlong, 3rd of 11, 1 1/2l behind Kalahari Gold (9-1) at Newmarket 7f hcp 0-105 (2) sft.
