There was plenty of give in the ground when Bonnie Brae won at Doncaster in November and finished runner-up in the Victoria Cup so she would like some rain. Thunderball has won twice over 6f on soft ground in recent weeks but conditions shouldn't be a problem and he's still reasonably treated. PRIMAEVAL is incredibly consistent and though most of his victories have been on Polytrack he's just as good on Turf as emphasised by his close second at Ascot in October. He's very well handicapped and can take this competitive affair. Yair Hill beat a big field at Newmarket on his final start last season and looks sure to win races this campaign while Global City returns to action after two very good runs at Meydan earlier in the year.
