Hochfeld is one of two course and distance winners in the line-up but is likely to struggle under top weight on soft ground. Just In Time, the other with winning form over track and trip, makes more appeal in the conditions while mud-loving Nuits St Georges is back over a more suitable trip after a pipe-opener at Ascot and can’t be ignored. Indigo Times rattled up a hat-trick on the all-weather earlier this year but has plenty to prove on this surface. PRINCE ALEX completed a five-timer on soft going at York in October and was entitled to need his comeback run at Salisbury. He has plenty in his favour today and gets the nod ahead of Amtiyaz, who is still heading in the right direction but having only a second run on Turf.
