In depth

Verdict

An import from the UAE, East Asia made a winning debut over 1m4f at Newbury for Ian Williams’ yard. He’s due to be raised by more than today’s penalty after this and can figure if lasting home. Orin Swift ended a long losing run when scoring over 1m6f here last time. He beat third-placed SOLAR SCREEN, Prince Imperial and Platitude but David O’Meara’s charge remains unexposed and the Northumberland Plate entry is expected to stay this extra distance. Al Kout and Dancing Harry filled the places at Ascot recently and the latter is fitted with headgear today while the veteran Be My Sea finished runner-up on fast going over track and trip on his latest start.
