The Which Doctor is our selection with Royal Straight and Mujaadel also respected. This handicap is usually contested by some decent types and this year's renewal looks no different with a number of the field having plenty of potential. Jeremy Noseda's Medicean gelding looks sure to appreciate this step up in trip having caught the eye with a strong finish over a mile at Windsor last time. He finished just in front of Legislation that day but is fancied to beat him by further today. In fairness to Legislation, he did clip heels last time and is probably better than he showed at Great Leighs. Andrew Balding has made a fine start to the season and Royal Straight is also bred to improve for this stiffer test of stamina; there's been a lot to like about his last two efforts and he should be able to step up on that form now he's upped in trip. Goodwood Spirit and Border Owl aren't dismissed but have more to prove following below par returns whilst McConnell may find this a shade too competitive so our triumvirate is completed by Mujaadel. He has to shoulder top weight but has earned his rating and is capable of taking higher order over middle distances. He should have a say in the outcome but we'll take The Which Doctor to prevail.
