Verdict

It is difficult to rule out any of these and so a narrow vote is given to Eglevski, with Starry Messenger and Philanthropy just two of many dangers. John Dunlop's juveniles tend to improve with racing and this son of Danehill Dancer could be ready to strike gold. His latest effort at Nottingham was behind a subsequent group three winner and that could be good enough to land a race of this nature. Philanthropy was very well backed for his Newcastle debut but never got going. He is surely much better than that and he could go well at a decent price. Starry Messenger showed plenty of promise on her Leicester debut and is open to any amount of improvement. The same applies to Prince Sabaah and Bring It On Home and so it is not a race to get too heavily involved in, but we have to make a selection and that is Eglevski.
