In depth

Verdict

Top-weight Addikt made a pleasing return to the racecourse after a six months absence recently and with that outing now under his belt he can get off the mark here. Three maiden outings and two runs in all-weather nurseries yielded some promise and on the evidence of his Windsor performance last time, a win is not far off, as he was noted staying on having not enjoyed the clearest of passages. Addwaitya would be of interest if the market spoke in his favour. Chris Wall's charge had three quick runs in succession last season in maidens, displaying some promise on his final start at Doncaster in a maiden. He encountered quick ground for the first time at Musselburgh and posted a career best effort in the process. He did disappoint on the all-weather at Lingfield last time where he was carried wide into the straight and as a consequence lost his position. Mission Control has a much stiffer task on his hands as he encounters turf for the first time. He beat a very moderate field to win on his handicap debut. King Bathwick best performances have been when an ease underfoot exists while Alan King's flat performers always deserve respect although his filly Cosmea will need to step up on her run over the course last time. Addikt gets the vote to land this three year old handicap.
