From a short list containing Bon Viveur, Midnight Traveller, Looker and Babcary, the vote goes to Bon Viveur. Bon Viveur looked an improved performer at Windsor last time and, because of his lazy running style is possibly better value for his margin of victory than might literally appear the case. He can go well again tonight. Midnight Traveller looked as though a step up in trip would suit him well when showing promise last time, so he gets plenty of respect, as does Looker, who is lightly raced and open to improvement and who would also have needed his Bath reappearance run. Finally, Babcary was a good second to Portal over course and distance last time and, with his rating set to rise by two pounds in the near future, he also has to be given a solid shout. For us, these are the key players, with the vote going to Bon Viveur.
