Mcconnell's recent win has been franked by the runner-up going in since, however Greylami is back over his best trip and he gets the nod over Title Role and Gaia Prince. The last-named would be of interest if the market spoke in his favour on his handicap debut, as his three qualifying runs were full of promise, however Greylami is taken to appreciate the slight drop in trip. If he handles the track, then Terry Mills' gelding should go well with the return to turf expected to be in his favour. Mcconnell and Goodwood Starlight have both shwon an ability to handle the track and a five pound pull in the weights may see them closer than when Mcconnell won last time. Title Role may be overlooked slightly as his recent run was below par, but he is droped in trip today and that looks the right move considering he didn;t appear to last home on his two recent runs. Red Cauldron and Timbalier and handicap debutantes to keep an eye on, whilst Ellemujie needs to prove stamina and Higgy's Boy needs to prove that he can actually win. An open heat, and Greylami gets the tentative vote.
