The last win for J J THE JET PLANE was in this grade and now dropped back into it he can defy a 4lb penalty to score again, while Tamagin looks the danger. The Richard Hannon-trained selection is the class horse in this line-up, and he should find this degrees easier than when stepping into Group 1 and 2 company for his last four starts. Trip and ground are ideal and the gelding, who was not far away from victory in the July Cup, should have too much for his opponents today. Tamagin is not badly placed at the weights and has his optimum conditions and trip. His was a decent run behind Palace Moon at Newmarket, and he has a solid profile. Galpin Junior was down the field in both the Middle Park and the Dewhurst last season and has not been seen since the latter. The handicapper has assessed his abilities at 21lbs higher than 11 months ago, and if that is correct and he is fit enough first time back then he should get involved. Mullein in 8lbs higher than when taking a fillies' Listed race at Pontefract last month and she looks a player here, while Swiss Diva and Tamagin should not be far apart judged on their Newmarket running. Beckermet has a little bit to find now, and Mac Gille Eoin does better in handicaps. Festoso would prefer softer ground, while Express Wish has course winning form but may not have the zip for this shorter trip, so we'll side with J J The Jet Plane.
