Andromache, Blue Streak and Billy Bathwick look to have a chance of sorts in an open contest, but the vote goes to the in-form Ellway Heights to continue his winning ways. Mark Brisbourne's gelding has hit form with a vengeance of late and showed real battling qualities when getting back up to beat Shalbeblue at Carlisle last week. If none the worse for that effort, he looks sure to take some beating here under a penalty. The maiden Andromache has often flattered, only to deceive, but she has a useful Amateur on board and is not one to dismiss lightly. Billy Bathwick has several bits of form which put him in with a shout here and will have every assistance from Simon Walker in the saddle. Winning hurdler Blue Streak is capable, but isn't one to rely on too heavily, while Pop Gun has been wonderfully consistent this year, but he may find one or two too sharp for him over this trip. Compton Aviator didn't have the best of runs at York, in a much better contest than this and it isn't hard to see him going close here, but Ellway Heights is still well treated on the best of his form of a couple of years ago and is taken to score.
