In depth

Verdict

This is ultra competitive with all of the runners, winners and while Coventry Stakes third Privy Seal is sure to have plenty of support, along with Fantastic View, who chased home the useful Punctillious at Salisbury, preference is for Mutahayya, who impressed when making all, over this trip at Chester last month. With Hunting Lodge in the field he is unlikely to have as easier lead here, but he is drawn on the inside of the latter and should be able to get to the rails first. Hunting Lodge, who was equipped with blinkers at Nottingham, had little difficulty seeing off Billy Allen that day, but the bare form of that leaves him with something to find in this. However, he is clearly open to improvement and is one to keep an eye on. Privy Seal, the winner of a Listed contest in Ireland, has no easy task under his penalty, but his form bears the closest inspection (the only horse to have beaten Pastoral Pursuits, three times a winner since). He looks certain to go well, along with Fantastic View, who has some nice types behind, when chasing home 1000 Guineas possible Punctillious at Salisbury last week. Torinmoor, who had the advantage of the rails to race against when winning at Newmarket, has more on his plate here, but he is open to further improvement, while Northern raider Baileys Dancer is from a stable that has enjoyed plenty of success here with its juveniles. Top Seed will need to improve for this step up in trip, and there is no reason why he can't, but Kempton winner Zouave could be anything, as both the second and third have scored since. However, we will stick with Mutahayya, who is taken to outstay his rivals.
