In depth

Verdict

Brian Meehan has his string in fine fettle at present and Roman Glory is no exception to that having won at Epsom last month but he is 3lb higher than for his neck success that day and may have to settle for minor honours today in a race taken to go to KAVACHI. Gary Moore's gelding has been given a real good chance by the handicapper having dropped him to a mark of 77 and he looks worth chancing having run promisingly at Goodwood on his most recent start last month. The selection holds L'Hirondelle on running last time and of more interest may be Magroom, who showed signs of a return to form at Bath last month and can now race off the same mark as when winning at Brighton in April. David Simcock's Marsh Warbler ran better at Beverley last month and is another to consider along with Spiritual Art, who is better than she showed at Sandown last time.
