In depth

Verdict

Richard Hannon's Miss Dutee has claims on the form shown when successful in a Lingfield handicap last month but she did not run up to that form at Chepstow subsequently and looks best watched, while Scommettitrice faces no easy task under a 6lb penalty incurred for her win in a Chepstow maiden earlier this month. Upark Flyer deserves to win a race having been knocking on the door in recent outings but she is proving to be expensive to follow and may once more have to settle for minor honours with a better bet looking to be JOHNNY HANCOCKS. The David Evans-trained gelding ran better than expected in a Brighton nursery last week when narrowly beaten by Volcanic Dust at odds of 16/1 and he has solid claims of going one better racing off a 4lb lower mark today.
