Markab and MONSIEUR CHEVALIER stand out at the weights. The former would go close if reproducing his second in a Group 3 at Newbury in July, but he's at his best on a fast surface and the latter is preferred. Richard Hannon's colt finished a clear second on soft ground in the Group 1 Golden Jubilee at Ascot in June and is the one to beat here if running anywhere near that form. The rest have plenty of catching up to do on today's terms though Desert Law is still improving and Son Of The Cat and Desert Poppy both went close in Listed races on their latest outings.
