    In depth

    Verdict

Rain is forecast and that would suit the once-useful Morando. Earlofthecotswolds was in good form on the all-weather in the spring but clearly out of his depth in the Ascot Gold Cup in June. Ascot winner Themaxwecan needs a fast surface and is hard to catch right but has won twice around here, as has Master Milliner. AGGAGIO is 3-4 on the track, however, and went down with all guns blazing over 1m6f last time. Though up another 2lb, he looks the one to beat as he had Whitehaven well behind here in June.
