A trappy fillies' maiden would be a minimum stakes race for us, with marginal preference for Sir Michael Stoute's VISIT ROYALE, ahead of Cosmopolitan and Tentears. The yard's only runner, Visit Royale showed improvement from debut and the step up in trip should be a positive. She was held up when runner up here over 7 furlongs last month, but may run a little closer to the pace this time. She gains weight all round, and plenty from top weighted Cosmopolitan, who was disqualified when seemingly winning first time out. Subsequently placed, this is her first outing since October, and she'll prefer this firmer going than he found last time. If she's trained on well from a two year old, she should be involved, but needs to settle a little better in the stalls. She's John Gosden's only runner on the card. Tentears is a debutante for Henry Cecil, and although there's no form or fancy entries, she'd closely related to a number of winners at this sort of trip, and any market support would be encouraging. That's the case too for the other newcomer Toolendithar, who had a couple of unsuccessful outings in bumpers, but she's related to a former winner of the Irish 1,000 Guineas. A close eye on the betting's advised here, and we'd be encouraged with support for our selection, Visit Royale.
