None of these have form that's worth shouting about, but we'll tentatively side with SHAVOULIN who had a pleasing seasonal debut, whilst also acknowledging the claims of Addwaitya and Laish Ya Hajar. Peter Hiatt's a master at bringing about an upturn in a horse's fortune, and a recent second was miles better than anything the gelding had previously achieved. Racing off a lowly mark, along with four others he's got almost a stone and a half in hand on the top weight Millfield. Laish Ya Hajar should come on for his first outing of the year at Chepstow last month, when after being given an easy lead he tailed off. A similar front running display could pay dividends here though. Addwaitya is another who likes to go off from the front, and he's won here before. This is probably his best trip. There are better races to come to get more involved in, but if improving from his last outing, it can go the way of Shavoulin.
