Verdict

Experience could pay here, so we'll side with ARABIAN PRIDE ahead of debutants Sabii Sands and Rainsborough. David Simock's charge was an expensive purchase who was well backed on debut, when finishing third in a similar race at Newcastle. He's entitled to improve for that outing, he's well drawn, and holds some interesting Newmarket and Doncaster entries for later in the year. Richard Hannon's won this race a couple of times with a horse having its second run, but SABII SANDS is an interesting looking debutant. The yard's horses tend to need a run, and this 120,000 Euro purchase could be anything, and there are no fancy entries as yet. Rainsborough is another debutant; Mick Channon's two year olds are going well. He's far from the yard's star though, having only cost 1,000 guineas. Given that four of these are making their debut, and the other two have only had one run apiece in public, we'll be carefully watching the market, but initial preference is for Sabii Sands.
