GASSIN GOLF stepped up to 2m1f at Doncaster and though unable to cope with the front-running Maastricht it was a very commendable effort as the remainder were strung out like washing. Connections won't be pleased with a 7lb rise for getting beaten but he's probably still on a fair mark and compensation awaits. Mystery Star has won once in 34 starts on Turf which is a poor return for a decent stayer, who again ran well in a similar handicap to this at York last time. Woolfall Treasure can usually be relied on to run his race as he did when narrowly beaten by Address Unknown over this trip at Ascot last time. Rumh has been competing at a high level and is well handicapped on Turf compared to his all-weather rating so should get into the mix along with the unexposed Ruacana.
