      Verdict

Another impossible-looking handicap to end proceedings. There is no reason why the consistent Major Jumbo won’t be thereabouts again, though regular pilot Lewis Edmunds is replaced here by David Egan. Evergate has bags of early speed and drops back to the minimum after a run over 6f at Doncaster. Carlton Frankie may also have found 6f too far last time at York having looked a progressive sprinter earlier and it would be no surprise to see Poet's Society bounce back after a couple of below-par efforts while Intense Romance keeps defying the handicapper. We’ll take a chance that MEGAN LILY can recapture her form as she has plenty in her favour and the beating of a few of these, though Paul Midgley’s pair Merry Banter and Yorkshiredebut are also respected.
