An interesting handicap but there are reasons to oppose all of the runners; our selection is Dingaan. He has won just once on turf and a variety of headgear has failed to persuade him to put his head in front but that win did come over course and distance in a valuable handicap. He has yet to race on soft ground as well but his sire's progeny usually handle cut and he is given another chance as his yard is in good form and he's on a decent mark. Mujood is well in with Dingaan on their running over course and distance last year and should be ready to fire with a couple of runs already under his belt. Idle Power is another on a decent mark and respected but Thabaat and Tony James have too much to prove at present. Mason Ette didn't progress as expected last year but should be watched closely for signs of confidence today, Kelamon and Makabul will relish conditions and Savile's Delight is not without claims if taking his chance as he was due to run at Folkestone on Thursday. A trappy heat and Dingaan wouldn't be a confident selection.
