Spinal Tap is steadily improving and can land this competitive handicap, Jafaru and Irish Dancer could provide most danger. Frankie Dettori's mount was stepped up to a mile and three last time and just failed to beat Pothos Way. The slight drop in distance should suit as should the soft ground as he is a son of Selkirk and he looks the best option. Jafaru has been in good form, winning two of his last three starts. He does encounter soft ground for the first time so he cant be backed with any real confidence, but if handling the surface he should go close. Irsh Dancer has flattered to decieve so far this season, but is on a decent mark on his best form and cannot easily be discounted. Of the rest, Cavendish has a six pound penalty for a recent victory, but should still be vying for a place. However Spinal Tap looks a progressive type and he gets our vote.
