Mariotto can get Frankie Dettori back in the TV eye and he is selected in preference to Man Of Vision, Gold Quest and Duke Of Tuscany, who have all shown consistency in their efforts this season. Duke Of Tuscany is closely matched with Regal Flush and there would not be much between them. However, Richard Hannon's charge has vital experience of this course and can win that personal battle today. He does need a good deal of luck on his side if he is going to break his duck for the season today, though. Gold Quest is unexposed and is related to some high-class performers. He made a pleasing debut in handicap company last time and, considering John Gosden's patient approach with horses of his type, a much improved display would not be surprising in this company. Watch the betting carefully with this son of Seeking The Gold. The Mick Channon-trained Man Of Vision rates as good value for at least a place, as he looks sure to be suited by this step up in trip. Being out of a Sadler's Wells mare, Channon's charge should cope with the going and would be dangerous to ignore. However, Mariotto appears to have all the bases covered and this previous course winner, who has proven form on the ground, stands out as the best bet for us here.
