Brendan Duke has done a tremendous job with Mister Benedictine who has gone from a mark of 93 to today's 129 in three runs. He scored very easily at Kilbeggan in June and must be on the short-list to complete the four-timer despite the hike in weight. CARLINGFORD LOUGH, who scored at this meeting last year, was in need of the run on his reappearance and showed the benefit with an impressive victory at Bellewstown where he relished stepping up to 2m4f. He's been raised 10lb but had plenty in hand and will take some stopping. Last year's Plate hereoine Blazing Tempo makes a quick reappearance after finishing well beaten in Thursday's Galway Hurdle where she will have found the trip much too short. This is more like it though her stablemate Ceol Rua, a winner on the Flat last week, could prove a bigger threat with her low weight. Capellanus is just 5lb higher than when scoring over 2m here in October and Headford Flyer just failed to hang on when touched off by Black Berry over 2m6f at Killarney.
