David Evans wouldn't be sending the consistent Mr Top Hat without some hope of picking up prize money though this looks a very tight handicap. Most of these are making their handicap debuts including El Greco, on a hat-trick after narrow victories at Cork and Killarney and an obvious threat to all. Spiorad Saoirse won a maiden at last year's fixture and showed himself in good form with a victory at Limerick so he can go well but the handicapper may have got to My Silver Nails, who faded close home over a mile at the Curragh on his hat-trick bid. Ger Lyons holds a strong hand with recent Roscommon winner Hypnotic Force and ESPERE with preference for the latter, who didn't quite last out 1m2f in a Naas Listed contest and will appreciate the drop in trip and class. Pretty Boy Floyd has yet to win but has moved to Tony Martin and looks well enough treatred on his handicap debut to make his presence felt.
