In depth

Verdict

Kilfinnan Castle and Kappelhoff are the only C&D winners here and have beaten each other in turn. Both are very moderate however and appear unlikely to add to their totals as MARIAS ROCK should have the edge. Jeremy Scott's mare was returning from a very long break when beating Abbey Dore over 2m6f at Plumpton last month and this lightly-raced type has more to offer as that was her first start over regulation fences. Crystal Prince is reasonably consistent but the fact that he's won once from 37 career starts is enough to dismiss his chances here. Paradise Expected is just 3lb higher than for his only chasing victory at Uttexeter and looks an each-way choice though the biggest threat could emerge from Monty's Moon, still a maiden after 15 starts but getting closer all the time and narrowly beaten by Autumn Red at Leicester.
