Satco's Deception was a game winner last time out at Plumpton and whilst a 3lb rise in the weights will make life more difficult, he gets the vote in this tricky contest ahead of Roman Rampage and Ebony Jack. Ed Creighton's ex-Irish gelding came good on just his second start in the UK when staying on too strongly for Hurler's Cross. He has franked the form since with a good recent display and as he appeared to score with a little in hand that day, and fully effective on this ground, he could be the one to side with today. Roman Rampage can be hard to stop if he gets into a rhythm but his jumping often lacks fluency so he is opposed, along with Delaney's Triumph who has a similar problem. The Holy Bee disappointed last time out but has claims if able to forget that last run, whilst Just Reuben is pretty consistent and can grab a place. Ebony Jack fell when still in contention last time out, however it is now 12 races since he last won so he must be opposed. In a weak race, Satco's Deception can win again.
