The retirement of Mick Fitzgerald gives other jockeys opportunities of riding winners for trainer Nicky Henderson and Fitzy's great mate Tony McCoy can probably benefit here on board INGRATITUDE, while Ohana and Lester Leaps In are potential dangers. The selection scored on his only try on fast ground at Newton Abbot last year, so there are no concerns on that basis, and a series of decent efforts over hurdles saw him rated in the 120s. There is no doubt that he will have been well schooled by his master trainer and he should have the ability and assistance from the plate to score on his chasing debut. Lester Leaps In would have around 10lb to find with the selection on their hurdles form and he acts on a sound or fast surface. He has been tried twice over fences so far with his latest Bangor effort a decent one, so we give him due respect. Ohana is of similar ability over the smaller obstacles and will also go well on the ground. This is his third try over fences here and he went pretty well on the previous two, though he continues to look vulnerable. A bigger danger may be Tampa Boy, who is lightly raced and may be open to further improvement. Milton Harris's gelding is rated 128 over hurdles and likes to hear the hooves rattle, so he could emerge as a major player. Preference today, however, is for Ingratitude.
